# Mode of Work > Done-for-you installation of agentic AI systems into small and mid-sized businesses. We take repeated workflows and install agentic versions of them. Agents run either on infrastructure the customer controls, or we host and operate them on our own servers on the customer's behalf. Mode of Work is a UK-based service that installs AI agents into businesses. We are not a self-serve product, not a SaaS, and not a marketplace — we work directly with each customer to understand the workflows they want to change, then build, install, and operate the agents. Customers typically start with one to five agents. The customer keeps their team; the team stops doing the parts of work that machines should do. ## What we install Examples of workflows we install agents for include (but are not limited to): - Inbound triage - Customer support - Knowledge retrieval - Scheduled operations - Marketing operations - Sales pursuit (cold outreach and warm-lead follow-up) - Research and reporting - Internal data processing If a workflow is repeatable, assume it is in scope. We confirm specifics with each customer on a discovery call. ## Engagement models We offer two engagement models. **Per agent.** £1,000 installation per agent (one-time). Monthly runtime from £200 per agent per month if the customer brings their own AI subscription (their own Claude, OpenAI or similar API key), or from £500 per agent per month if we run it for them. The final monthly price depends on the agent's complexity and usage. Installation takes three weeks. This model suits customers who want to start with one specific workflow and prove value before expanding. **Hourly subscription.** A longer-term engagement for customers who want a fuller transformation. The customer subscribes to a set number of hours per month; each month the Mode team uses those hours to automate more of the business and install additional agents. New agents run in parallel with existing processes until the customer is confident everything is running smoothly, with the right controls and governance in place. The hourly rate is agreed on the discovery call. In both models the customer keeps their team. The customer chooses whether agents run on infrastructure they control or are hosted by Mode of Work on their behalf. ## Ongoing service Every agent we install includes an ongoing managed service that covers: - Monitoring and maintenance (uptime, error handling, incident response) - Security patching and dependency updates - Agent versioning and rollout of model and prompt updates - Performance and accuracy monitoring against the process the agent automates - Continual improvement of the agent as the business changes ## Status Pre-launch.
