Use of this site
By accessing or using the Site you agree to these terms. We may update them from time to time; the version published here applies to your use on each visit.
Permitted use
You may view the Site for your own personal or internal business use. You must not copy, republish or commercially exploit any part of it without our prior written permission, and you must not interfere with the Site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use it to transmit malicious code or to send unsolicited messages.
Our content
All text, design, graphics, code and other content on the Site is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. The “Mode of Work” name and mark are our trademarks.
No warranty
The Site is provided on an “as is” basis. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we make no guarantees and the Site is not a substitute for professional advice.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under law (for example liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence). Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill arising out of your use of the Site.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing here affects your rights as a consumer under any mandatory provisions of local law.
Privacy & data protection
Crebo Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through the Site. We process your information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us — if you start a conversation in our chat panel we ask for your name and email address.
- Messages — the content of any messages you send us through the chat or by email.
- Technical data — your IP address, browser type and basic device information, captured in server logs to keep the Site secure and to investigate problems.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and follow up about Mode of Work — legitimate interests (running our business) and, where you have started a conversation, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To operate and secure the Site, including rate-limiting and abuse prevention — legitimate interests.
- To comply with our legal obligations where required — legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site, under appropriate contracts:
- Our hosting and database providers (used to serve the Site and store enquiries).
- Our AI provider, which processes chat messages to generate responses.
- Our transactional email provider, used to notify us of new enquiries.
- Professional advisers, or authorities where we are required to disclose information by law.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we need to retain it longer to meet a legal obligation. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@modeofwork.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
